Personal life Family and background Marcel Sabitzer was born on 17 March 1994 in Wels , Austria , into a footballing family. His father, Herfried Sabitzer , is a former professional striker who earned six caps for the Austria national team between 1992 and 1997, scoring one goal, and played for clubs including LASK Linz, Grazer AK , and Admira Wacker.
